Description
Electric vehicle battery fires can reignite and burn for a long time. An EV fire blanket does not put the battery out. It contains the fire: it limits the flames, heat and smoke that reach the cars, chargers and structure around it.
This blanket is high-silica fabric (96% or more silica) with a silicone coating, rated 1,000 °C continuous and 1,700 °C peak. It packs into a dust and water resistant bag, rolled for fast deployment.
Inry's SGS report to DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11, the German specification for fire limitation blankets for electric vehicles, tested a 6 x 8 m Inry fire limitation blanket.
